greetings from chiangmai!

it's incredible how fast the past 3 weeks have gone by. m now 23 days into Operation Chiangmai. i thank God for seeing team operation chiangmai through the trip thus far. it's been a meaningful trip, and m very thankful tt i get to see the friends i made from last year's trip once again, catching up with them...i've come to realise time is an impt factor in ministry because ministry is really about relationships. without relationships, i don't see how we'd be able to reach the hearts of people with the gospel. i learnt also tt being able to understand & speak their language would bring us closer and i pray tt i'd one day (or rather, soon) be able to share my testimony and/or the gospel with them in their language. so thank God tt this year's trip, i've developed more than just hi-and-bye friends and got to sit down and have deeper conversations with a couple of thai friends :] m most thankful for the friendship with a thai friend i was pretty close to during last year's trip, when she honestly shared her problems and feelings with me, and allowed me to pray with her. it was also exciting to see how real God is when He answered our prayer tt very evening.

our team's schedule has been pretty packed but m glad it's so, because 1 month is already so short and i don't tink there's time to waste =/ we've been helping the theology students in bro nat's english classes and making it a point to have lunch with them at their mcgilvary hostel every mon & wed. just as we were abt to 'give up' on ministering to this grp, we made a breakthrough & met up with them out of their class time to help them with their work. by God's grace, friendships have been forged with them ;] we've also been running english conversation club meetings, attending prayer meetings with a grp of missionaries/tent-makers on tue evenings & lighthouse church on wed evenings, getting to know the university students and wachirawit high sch students better through dinner with them, helping to run games at payap's christian retreat, and just today, we returned from an english club camp we were running at monthatarn waterfalls.

it's been a frutiful trip for me and i believe it'll be the same next week, if not better. thank God also tt i'd be witnessing the baptism of my thai friends - koi, aof, parn & drum :]

there's so much to share, but it's getting late...and, if anyone reading would like to keep my team and i in prayer, pls visit our team blog :] Pra Jao ouy pon! (God bless!)
